Hey there! Happy Thursday! It’s Day 4 of Neat & Tangled Stamps’ release week, and today we are featuring an awesome little set that is perfect for Thanksgiving or just saying thanks to someone you love. Since Turkey Day is my favorite day of the year, I went a little overboard making cards and have 3 projects to share with you today.
I seem to waiver between graphic CAS cards and more layered ones, but I always love to use color and patterned paper as often as I can. Above, I made a mini pedestal for the sentiment using some triangle dies, mounting everything onto some Ocean Tides cardstock – a perfect nontraditional Fall color, I think!
On my second card, I was determined to use that wooden button, which has been sitting on my desk for…oh…I dunno…a year? No lie! It reminded me of sweaters and Fall, so I tried to recreate that look by folding back the patterned paper, which was layered back-to-back so that the orange side would show once folded. I made it so that the turkey and sentiment were being revealed from the fold, too. This was so fun to make.
For my last card, I used a bunch of circular stamps from my Neat and Tangled collection (mostly the backs of the stamps, the side that sticks to the block) to create a circle pattern in a variety of Fall colors, then stamping the turkey and sentiment over those. What’s the verdict on this scarlet color? Yay or nay? I usually lean toward nay because it reminds me of my Catholic school days – our itchy wool uniform sweaters were that color – maybe it’s more popular with all of you? LOL!
Hop on over to the Neat & Tangled blog to see more projects made with these fabulous stamps and to enter to win some prizes! Thanks so very much for stopping by!
